Plagiarism Policy

The journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and strictly prohibits plagiarism in all forms. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism prior to publication.

1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, ideas, images, or data from other sources without proper citation

  • Presenting another author’s work as one’s own

  • Self-plagiarism (reusing one’s own previously published work without proper acknowledgment)

  • Paraphrasing content without appropriate referencing

  • Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals (duplicate submission)

2. Plagiarism Detection

All submissions are checked using recognized plagiarism detection software such as:

  • iThenticate

  • Turnitin

Each manuscript is evaluated based on a similarity report.

3. Acceptable Similarity Index

  • Overall similarity must be below 15%

  • Similarity from a single source should not exceed 5%

  • Properly cited references are excluded from evaluation

Manuscripts exceeding these limits may be rejected or returned for revision.

4. Handling of Plagiarism (Before Publication)

If plagiarism is detected during the review process:

  • Minor similarity → Manuscript returned for correction

  • Moderate similarity → Revision required with detailed explanation

  • High similarity → Immediate rejection

5. Handling of Plagiarism (After Publication)

If plagiarism is discovered after publication:

  • The article may be retracted

  • A retraction notice will be issued

  • The author’s institution may be informed

  • Authors may be banned from future submissions

6. Self-Plagiarism Policy

Authors must properly cite their previously published work.
Reusing large portions of earlier publications without citation is considered unethical.
